No stress, no guesswork—We’ve put together a guide to make dressing for the weekend easy.

Here’s what you can expect…

Aseobi

Traditional Nigerian Attire

Friday 4th July

Nigerian weddings are deeply rooted in tradition and culture, blending meaningful customs with joyful celebration. Expect vibrant attire, heartfelt ceremonies, prayers, blessings, and plenty of spontaneous dancing as two families come together.

While this may be new to some of you, we’d love for you to take part.

What You Need to Know:

If you’re familiar with Asoebi, we’ll be providing our chosen fabric—simply select this option on the RSVP form, and we’ll send it to you so you can make your outfit.

If Asoebi is new to you, we’d love for you to take part in a simple and meaningful way:

  • Women can wear a gele (headwrap)

  • Men can wear a fila (traditional hat)

These will be ready for you on arrival, and there will be someone on hand to help you put them on.

To purchase, just select your options on the RSVP form, and we’ll follow up with payment details separately:

  • Lace (2.5 yards) – £55

  • Gele – £10

  • Fila – £5

It would be great to see as many of you as possible joining in—it’ll make the celebration even more special!

Dress Code: Aseobi or Formal Cocktail

  • Women: Light, elegant cocktail dresses in any shade of green or white, or Asoebi if chosen.

  • Men: Smart tailored attire in shades of green or white (such as a lightweight suit, blazer, or trousers) or traditional wear.

We’d love for everyone to embrace the dress code, but most importantly, we want you to feel comfortable and enjoy yourself, so don’t worry if it’s not perfect!

For inspiration, see below—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Black-Tie

(Tailored Suits and Occasion Dresses)

Saturday 5th July

Dress Code: Black Tie — Dress to Impress.

This is a formal celebration, and we’d love everyone to dress up.
Think black tie — smart, elegant, and elevated — but with room to make it your own.

A very smart suit, a beautiful dress — whatever feels like your best version of dressing up.

For men: A tailored suit. Tie or bow tie optional.
For women: An occasion dress — full-length. Choose a style and colour you feel great in.

We’ll be taking editorial-style portraits of all our guests, so arrive looking your best.

(Ladies, there will be a short walk from the church to the castle (3–4 minutes), and cocktail hour will be on the lawn. Heel stoppers will be available to help on the grass.)
